ABOUT BIDA

Air Commodore (Retd) Md Shaharul Huda serves as an Executive Member of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). A highly accomplished strategic leader, he draws on a distinguished 35-year career as a military aviator in the Bangladesh Air Force, specializing in strategic leadership and large-scale operational management. In his current role at BIDA, Air Commodore Shaharul leverages this profound expertise in business management, corporate governance, and institutional development to advance BIDA's objectives.

Air Commodore Shaharul possesses significant experience in the commercial sector, having served as Head of Business Divisions at Sena Kalyan Sangstha (SKS), a defence-managed commercial conglomerate. Concurrently, he also served as a Director at Sena Insurance PLC. As an operational fighter pilot with more than 2900 flying hours, his tenure included serving as Director of Air Operations, providing him with a deep understanding and execution in domestic and international flight operations and air transport logistics.

He is a distinguished Alumnus of both the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) and the National Defence College (NDC). His advanced qualifications include a Master of Science in Defense and Strategic Studies from Madras University and a Master’s in Defense Studies from National University. Leveraging his keen interest in aviation and aerospace, he served as the Founding Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh.
